The South, and if we have to be more accurate, Sicily, Italy, is where Rage Of South saw the light of day for the first time. Using the quite rusty methods of nu metal, the band sends out its wrathful message to our contemporary through its debut record I See, I Say, I Hear. If we have to be honest, it sounds as a cliché all the way from the music to the lyrics, but still you can’t deny that these four guys love what they do, they strive to develop, there’s boiling blood running through their veins, if you know what we mean. The ten (without the 40-second-long intro) compositions revolve round the average level but this is a good reason to remind ourselves that music is fun at first place and sometimes we don’t have to search for more than what is obviously already there. The record’s main problem is that the producing is not good enough. If it was, it would have definitely sharpened the groovy riffs which sometimes feel not heavy enough alongside the not really well sounding drums. Well, I guess we have to keep in mind that the album is entirely produced by the band itself and the results are not that bad. If this sounds a bit like an excuse, then we feel obliged to remind the guys they need to work harder next time. Anyway, we’re sure they know that already. Good luck!
