Alright, let’s check how educated you are in music… How many internationally popular Swiss bands you can recite? Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, Tryptikon, Coroner… Not many, right? And if we remove the disbanded ones and those, in which Tom Warrior’s name was involved, the list becames pretty short. Well, if Requiem is included in it, I can only shake your hand. Otherwise, let me introduce you Switzerland’s next extreme pride. Actually, the quintet wasn’t really born yesterday – they exist since 1997, they have a large discography behind their backs and so they decided to celebrate their 15th anniversary with a remastered version of Within Darkened Disorder, originally released two years ago. I don’t really want to ruin your whole impression (and my own as well), so I let me avoid those trivial “riffs-solos-vocals-drums” descriptions and just tell you, that WDD’s best side is its authenticity – european death metal at its purest. If this seems like a good reason for you to get into Requiem’s work – the “improved” Within Darkened Disorder will be officially out on February 22nd. If you can’t wait, hear the original, it’s still something.
