METAL BLAST FESTIVAL празнува 5-годишнина на 23-ти април, 2016

Metal Blast festival is one of the leading Metal festivals in the MENA region, located in Cairo Egypt.

With a main goal of supporting the local and regional metal scene through creating a platform for bands and artists currently playing underground to share the stage and exchange knowledge and culture with international giants.

The festival offers a unique perspective into the heart of the Middle East metal scene with high quality stage and sound setup to ensure complete satisfaction of both the participating bands and of course the fans.

Metal Blast is not just a music festival, but it also has educational development projects in the form of music workshops. These workshops are designed to improve and support the scene and helps the newer generation of rockers/metal-heads to socialize, learn more about their instruments, and possibly meet their next band mates. Consequently spreading metal music culture through the Egypt & the entire MENA region.

Over the past 6 years since its conception at 2010, Metal Blast hosted over 10 events with some of the best extreme metal bands to ever come out of the Middle East taking their stage.
As a culture exchange plan, our mission is to support and develop underground bands to eventually lead them to perform outside abroad and experience the metal culture in a way they have not experienced before. As well as bring metal bands from all over the world to perform in Egypt.

To mark the festival’s 5^th anniversary this year, Metal Blast festival is hosting its biggest event yet. A group of 5 bands playing different yet complementing genres of metal have been handpicked from all over the place. We know our fans have different tastes, and our goal is satisfy them all. Hence, we are pleased to announce that these bands are:

• From Cairo, Egypt – Medic Progressive Metal
• From Petersburg, Russia – Inner Missing Death / Doom Metal
• From Alexandria, Egypt – Odious Symphonic Oriental Black / Death Metal
• From Athens, Greece – Dimlight Symphonic Death Metal

And the headliners of this year’s festival are:

• From Jyväskylä, Finland – Swallow The Sun Death / Doom Metal
