The cover of Eleven:Eleven

Coming across this band I thought they’re worth the hearing – and I was right. Copia are brand new and cool, I would say. The boys describe their style as „a little bit harder than rock“, but I personally think they have a lot more to offer beyond this description. You can assure yourself, just look at the video at the bottom of the publication.
My absolutely subjective opinion ot Eleven:Eleven:
In the beginning I found „Paratus“ not so promising, but simply because those interludes are not really my thing. But the songs have really impressed me with texts (what a miracle, huh!) and melodies. For a Kamelot fan, for example, this is quite important – and as one I can honeslty say that the band has put a lot of thought in how their album is going to sound and what mood it will bring. The mere complexion between electronics and instruments had surpirsed me very pleasantly („Fortitude„), and „Hostility“ brought an unexpected feeling of wanting to hear more (I didn’t even think it was possible). „Ego“ reminded me a bit of the old school Children of Bodom with it’s riffs. For me those were the most outstanding parts of the album. It’s fresh and I liked it, but only time will tell if the critics and fans will accept it as good as I did.
However, there was a sort of disappointment – the vocalist showed a wide range, yes, but a bit monotonous. The guitarist’s parts were abounding, which came as a compensation for the small disadvantages the production had.
In „Eleven:Eleven“ you will find everything and that’s the formula, that guarantees success.
As a whole I enjoyed the debut album of the brave australians and would continiue listening to the band.
The assessment set is 8 out of 10. Keep up the good work!
