JETHRO TULL отбелязват 50 години на сцената с две нови колекции

Колекцията за 50-тата годишнина “50th ANNIVERARY COLLECTION” включва най-доброто от Jethro Tull на CD и винил.

Турнето на бандата по случай 50-тата им годишнина вече започна.

Jethro Tull направиха първия си концерт в Marquee Club в Лондон на 2-ри февруари 1968 г. Това е първата крачка от музикалното пътешествие на Jethro Tull, след като се превърна в една от най-успешните и влиятелни рок банди в света. Днес групата, водена от Ian Anderson, продължава пътешествието си със световно турне по случай 50-тата си годишнина.

За да помогне на Jethro Tull да отбележат това историческо постижение, Parlophone ще издаде издание от 3 диска с 50 песни, избрани от Anderson, от всички 21 студийни албума на групата. “50 FOR 50” ще излезе на 25-ти май 2018 г.

Колекцията за 50-тата годишнина “50th ANNIVERARY COLLECTION” включва най-доброто от трите диска с парчета на Jethro Tull на едно CD, и ще излезе в същия ден. Тя ще бъде налична и във версия на винил, който ще излезе на 31-ви август 2018 г.

“50 FOR 50” предоставя широк поглед над богатия и разнообразен каталог на Jethro Tull, включващ множество платинени и златни записи. Подредено хронологично, изданието от 3 диска представя продължителната музикална еволюция на групата от ранните парчета, повлияни от блус стила (“Beggar’s Farm” и “A New Day Yesterday”); тежък рок (“Aqualung” и “Locomotive Breath”); прогресив класиките (“Skating Away” и “Critique Oblique”) и фолк мелодии (“Songs From The Wood” и “Heavy Horses”).

Компилацията включва и “Steel Monkey”, “Farm On The Freeway” и “Budapest”, трите парчета на групата от албума от 1987 г. с награда Grammy “Crest Of A Knave”. Колекцията завършва с “A Christmas Song” и “Ring Out Solstice Bells”, две парчета, които първоначално са част от албума “The Jethro Tull Christmas Album” (2003).

Турнето на Jethro Tull по случай 50-тата им годишнина включва концерти в Европа и Северна Америка.
